In 1980 The Screen Actors Studio film school in Victoria began providing ongoing classes for those interested in acting for film and television in Victoria and Vancouver Island. On this website you will find programs designed for the beginner, part-time or professional actor, regardless of age and experience. Our mandate is to continue to provide these film school programs in Victoria and also look to provide a centre for the screen arts for those interested in acting, writing and directing. As an established Victoria film school, we look to encourage and invite other members of the film and television industry to hold special event seminars and weekend workshops that are dynamic and educational for those seeking work in the creative fields of the professional video, film and television industry and it's independent horizons.

The Acting Programs

Whether you are seeking a part-time class at the entry level or are on a career path that requires a regular workout program, The Screen Actors Studio film school offers a series of courses and seminars for those interested in acting for film and television. There are part-time programs for the adult beginner, young actor and continuing studies programs for the Working Actor at the intermediate / professional level. We also offer voice training, individual coaching and regular auditioning, cold-reading technique sessions. Special Events and Seminars

In addition to the regular programs and instructors listed on this website, you will find limited enrollment events and seminars offered, featuring key casting directors and special guest instructors. Enrollment for these special events is limited and preference is given to individuals who have already taken training at The Screen Actors Studio. You will also find a 'link' banner which will connect you to a network of industry and related services.

The Studio

The Screen Actors Studio film school is located at 845 Fisgard St in Victoria and offers a large spacious and group friendly environment in which regular classes and special event seminars are held.
